Flexible working arrangements

Looking for a Speech Pathology role with more flexibility and autonomy?

Zenzability is a growing allied health practice based in Smeaton Grange, supporting children, adolescents and adults across Macarthur and South-West Sydney.

We are looking for an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team.

We’re looking for someone who is confident managing their own caseload and clinical decision-making and wants the flexibility and autonomy of a smaller practice without the pressure and bureaucracy that can come with larger organisations.

About the Role

You’ll provide individualised Speech Pathology assessment and intervention to NDIS participants with a range of communication and functional needs.

Depending on your experience and clinical interests, your work may include:

  • Speech, language and communication assessments
  • Expressive and receptive language intervention
  • Speech sound and articulation therapy
  • Social and pragmatic communication
  • Literacy and phonological awareness support
  • AAC assessment and intervention
  • Capacity-building therapy
  • NDIS progress reports and assessments
  • Resource development and non-face-to-face clinical work
  • Collaboration with families, carers, schools, support coordinators and other allied health professionals

Services may be delivered from our Smeaton Grange clinic or within participants’ homes, schools and community environments.

Why Zenzability?

We’re deliberately building Zenzability around sustainable clinical practice.

We want experienced clinicians to have the professional autonomy to do their jobs well without unnecessary layers of management or unrealistic productivity expectations.

We offer:

  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Part-time or full-time options
  • Flexibility to structure your working week
  • A mix of clinic and community-based work
  • No unrealistic KPI culture
  • A manageable caseload focused on quality rather than volume
  • Time for reports, documentation and other non-face-to-face clinical work
  • Administrative support
  • Professional autonomy and ownership of your caseload
  • A modern clinic in Smeaton Grange
  • Professional development opportunities
  • The ability to develop a caseload aligned with your clinical interests
  • The opportunity to help shape Speech Pathology services within a growing practice

About You

This role is suited to an established Speech Pathologist who is comfortable working autonomously and doesn’t require intensive day-to-day clinical supervision.

You’ll need:

  • A recognised qualification in Speech Pathology
  • Current membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Demonstrated post-graduate clinical experience
  • Experience working with NDIS participants and/or people with disability
  • Confidence independently managing a clinical caseload
  • Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and report-writing skills
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
  • Working With Children Check where applicable
  • Current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with families, support coordinators and multidisciplinary teams

Experience with complex communication needs, AAC and NDIS reporting would be highly regarded.

A Sustainable Caseload

We know experienced clinicians don’t need someone constantly looking over their shoulder — and they don’t need a diary packed with back-to-back appointments to demonstrate their value.

Our focus is on quality clinical work, participant outcomes and sustainable caseloads.

You’ll have the autonomy to manage your clinical work while having the support of the broader Zenzability team when you need it.
