About Zenzability

Zenzability is a growing Occupational Therapy practice based in Smeaton Grange, supporting children, adolescents and adults across the Macarthur and South-West Sydney regions.

We believe great therapy comes from giving clinicians the time, autonomy, resources and support to do their jobs well.

We are building a practice where quality clinical care comes before volume, clinicians have genuine input into how they structure their work, and professional judgement is respected.

Our services are delivered across our Smeaton Grange clinic as well as participants’ homes, schools and community settings.

About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team on either a full-time or part-time basis.

This role would particularly suit an OT who enjoys working across the lifespan and wants to continue developing their skills in assessment and report writing.

Your caseload will be built around your clinical interests, experience and areas you would like to develop. You won’t be expected to be experienced in every area from day one, and we’re happy to provide training and support as you develop.

The role will primarily involve ongoing therapy alongside assessment and report-writing opportunities, which may include:

  • Functional Capacity Assessments
  • Supported Independent Living assessments
  • Specialist Disability Accommodation assessments
  • Aged care assessments and reports
  • Assistive technology and equipment assessments
  • Progress and other NDIS-related reports
  • Collaboration with families, support coordinators and other health professionals

We are particularly interested in OTs who enjoy working across the lifespan and would like to develop further capability in
complex report writing and aged care.

A Week That Can Work Around You

We want clinicians to have genuine flexibility rather than simply describing a role as “flexible”.

Full-time can be worked across five days or as an equivalent compressed working week. Part-time arrangements of three or four days per week are also available.

Depending on your preferred working arrangement, you can have:

  • Flexible start and finish times
  • Choice of working days
  • The ability to compress your working week
  • Work from home for reports and administrative work
  • Flexibility to structure your clinic and community days

A typical full-time week might involve
two clinic days, two community days and one work-from-home day for reports, documentation and other work.

This isn’t intended to be rigid. We will work with you to establish a structure that works for your caseload and circumstances.

A Sustainable Caseload

We don’t believe clinicians should have to choose between meeting productivity targets and producing quality clinical work.

Once fully onboarded, our utilisation expectation is approximately 25 hours per week for a full-time clinician.

Your caseload will be developed around your preferred clinical interests rather than expecting every clinician to work across every service we provide.

Community travel is generally kept within approximately 30 minutes of the clinic, helping to minimise unnecessary time on the road.

Clinical Support & Development

You will work alongside a Senior Occupational Therapist with close to 10 years’ experience working across the lifespan.

Clinical supervision is provided one-on-one and in person, giving you dedicated time to discuss cases, develop your clinical reasoning and build capability in areas you would like to pursue.

You will also have access to Verve OT Learning professional development and training, providing practical OT education across NDIS practice, assessments, report writing and specialist clinical areas.

If you have strong therapy skills but want to develop your experience in Functional Capacity Assessments, SIL/SDA assessments, aged care or complex report writing, we are happy to train and support you.

Administration That Supports Clinicians

Our administrative team manages much of the non-clinical workload, including:

  • Participant intake and enquiries
  • Scheduling and appointment administration
  • Invoicing
  • General participant enquiries
  • Other day-to-day administrative support

This allows our OTs to spend more of their working week focused on clinical work rather than administration.

Our Clinic

Our Smeaton Grange clinic provides clinicians with:

  • Dedicated treatment rooms and therapy spaces
  • Workstations for documentation and report writing
  • Laptop
  • Clinical and therapy resources
  • Administrative support
  • Space to collaborate with the team while maintaining autonomy over your clinical work

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Full-time or part-time employment
  • Full-time across five days or an equivalent compressed working week
  • Part-time arrangements of three or four days
  • Flexible start and finish times
  • Choice of working days
  • Work-from-home opportunities for reports and administration
  • Approximately 25 hours utilisation per week once fully onboarded
  • Caseload developed around your clinical interests
  • One-on-one, in-person clinical supervision
  • Experienced Senior OT support
  • Access to Specialist OT Learning professional development platform for CPD
  • Administrative support for intake, scheduling, invoicing and participant enquiries
  • Community travel generally within 30 minutes of the clinic
  • Clinic, community and work-from-home variety
  • Support to develop assessment and report-writing skills
  • Professional autonomy and respect for your clinical judgement
  • The opportunity to help shape a growing allied health practice

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Hold a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Have current AHPRA registration
  • Have, or are eligible to obtain, an NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Hold a current Working With Children Check where required
  • Have a current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
  • Enjoy working with participants across different stages of life
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Are comfortable working independently while being part of a supportive clinical team
  • Take pride in producing high-quality clinical work
  • Would like to continue developing your assessment and report-writing capabilities

NDIS and/or aged care experience is highly regarded, but
you don’t need to arrive knowing how to do everything.

If you’re a capable OT who wants to develop skills in areas such as Functional Capacity Assessments, SIL/SDA, aged care or complex report writing, we’ll support you to build those capabilities.

Who This Role Would Suit

This role may particularly suit an OT who still loves being an Occupational Therapist but wants more control over how they work.

You may be looking for greater flexibility, a more manageable caseload, better clinical support, more time to produce quality work or the opportunity to broaden your skills without being thrown into complex work unsupported.

At Zenzability, we’re interested in finding the right clinician and building a sustainable role around them, rather than simply filling a position.

If you value quality clinical work, flexibility, autonomy, professional development and being part of a growing practice where your contribution genuinely matters, we’d love to hear from you.
